Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between aanug ("the Company") and users in connection with the use of the KokoRoom service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

"User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
"Service" means KokoRoom and all related features provided by the Company, including cycle tracking and prediction, today's weather, calendar, condition logging, partner connection, the Bench (sending feelings), notifications, feedback submission, and account backup and restoration.
"Account" means an account optionally linked by a User for the purpose of backing up and restoring records and settings. Users may use the basic features of the Service without linking an account.
"Account Backup" means a feature that stores the records and settings described by the Service on the Company's servers so they can be restored on another device or after reinstalling the app.
"Partner" means another User who is connected to a User via an invite code and receives limited shared information.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law, and will announce any changes within the Service.
If a change is unfavorable to Users, the Company will provide at least 30 days' advance notice before it takes effect.

Article 4 (Conditions of Use and Account Connection)

The Service is available to users aged 14 and older; use by anyone under 14 is restricted.
Users may use the basic features of the Service without linking an account.
Users may optionally link an account supported by the Service to back up and restore their records and settings.
If a User chooses account backup, linked account identifiers and the records and settings specified in the Service are processed on the Company's servers for backup and restoration.
The scope of information to be backed up, including health-related and sexual activity records where applicable, will be explained separately before the account is linked.

Article 5 (Provision of Service)

The Company provides features including cycle tracking and prediction, today's weather guidance, calendar, condition logging, partner connection, the Bench (sending feelings), notifications, feedback submission, and account backup and restoration.

Article 6 (Health Information and Medical Disclaimer)

Guidance on cycle phase, ovulation, PMS, and condition provided by the Service is for general wellness reference only, and is not intended for diagnosing or treating any medical condition, or for determining contraception or pregnancy.
Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health-related decisions.

Article 7 (Responsibility for User-Entered Information)

Information entered into the Service — such as period dates, symptoms, sexual activity, contraceptive pill records, memos, and partner codes — is entered directly by the User, who is responsible for its accuracy. The Company is not liable for errors in predictions or guidance resulting from inaccurate information entered by the User.

Article 8 (Partner Connection)

Users may connect with a partner via an invite code, and may approve, decline, cancel, or end a connection request.
When connected, today's cycle weather and cycle predictions are provided. Only items the User explicitly enables in the sharing scope may be provided to the connected partner, including actual period records, analysis results covering up to the most recent six months, and past or current condition, mood, body, lifestyle, self-care, user-added, and memo records. Items not selected for sharing are not provided, and information outside the current scope is no longer displayed once a disconnection or scope reduction is confirmed.
Users must not save, capture, or share a connected partner's cycle or condition information without consent, or use it for harassment or any similar purpose.

Article 9 (Limitations of Notifications and the Bench Feature)

Local and push notifications may be delayed or fail to arrive depending on OS permissions, network conditions, or device status.
The Bench feature is not free-form chat. It provides preset feelings, pokes, and a jar of received feelings. Available actions and history depend on the app version and membership status; applicable limits are shown in the app.

Article 10 (User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not:

Use another person's account or invite code without authorization
Enter false information
Interfere with the operation of the Service
Reverse engineer the Service
Infringe on the rights of the Company or third parties, or use the Service for any unlawful or rights-infringing purpose

Article 11 (Paid Services)

KokoRoom offers optional KokoRoom Plus monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a lifetime, non-consumable purchase. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring subscription charge. Basic features remain available without purchasing Plus.
The available benefits, billing period, price, currency, and any eligible trial or limited-time offer are displayed in the app and the App Store or Google Play purchase confirmation before payment. Product and offer availability may differ by store, country, and eligibility. No purchase is required merely to view an offer.
Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period unless canceled through the store used for purchase. Payment is charged to the User's App Store or Google Play account. An eligible free trial becomes a paid subscription at the price and on the date shown in the store confirmation unless canceled in time. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends to avoid renewal.
Users can manage or cancel an Apple subscription in iPhone Settings > their name > Subscriptions, or a Google Play subscription in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. See the official Apple cancellation instructions or Google Play cancellation instructions. Deleting the app, disconnecting or deleting a KokoRoom account, or ending a partner connection does not cancel a store subscription.
Purchases are verified with the relevant store and linked to the KokoRoom account used for purchase. To restore an eligible purchase, use that KokoRoom account and the purchasing store account, then select Restore Purchases in the KokoRoom Plus screen. A purchase already linked to another KokoRoom account cannot be reassigned merely by restoring it.
While Plus access is active, its shared benefits are also available to the User's currently connected partner as described in the app. This does not transfer purchase ownership or change either User's record-sharing permissions.
Refunds and purchase cancellations are handled under applicable law and the policies of the store used for purchase. Canceling automatic renewal is different from requesting a refund. Access reflects the store-verified purchase status, including expiration or a refund.
For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Terms of Use / EULA) applies to the app license. These Service Terms describe the operation of KokoRoom and do not replace that license agreement or limit statutory consumer rights.

Article 12 (Changes and Suspension of Service)

The Company may modify or temporarily suspend all or part of the Service due to reasons such as third-party infrastructure (e.g., Firebase), network conditions, system maintenance, or policy changes.

Article 13 (Account Disconnection and Data Deletion)

Disconnecting a linked account from a device does not delete records and settings already stored on the Company's servers for account backup.
Users may delete a linked account and server-stored backup data through the account and data deletion process provided by the Service.
When a User requests account and data deletion, the Company will delete or take reasonable steps to delete information subject to deletion, including server-stored user records and authentication or account-linking information.
Customer inquiry and feedback records, information required to be retained under applicable law, and certain backups or logs may be retained for the required or separately specified period.

Article 14 (Copyright)

Copyright in the Service and in all characters, images, text, and content created by the Company belongs to the Company.

Article 15 (Disclaimer)

The Company is not liable for damages arising from acts of God, system failures, or causes attributable to the User, except where liability may not be excluded under applicable law.

Article 16 (Protection of Personal Information)

The Company protects Users' personal information in accordance with applicable law; details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
If a User chooses account backup, linked account identifiers and the records and settings described to the User are processed for backup and restoration.
The scope of account backup, including health-related and sexual activity records where applicable, is explained separately before the account is linked.
Disconnecting an account from a device does not by itself delete server-stored backup data. Users may delete it through the account and data deletion process provided by the Service.

Article 18 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes shall be handled in accordance with the jurisdiction rules prescribed by applicable Korean law.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on June 11, 2026.

The October 7, 2026 update corrects the description of currently offered Plus purchases and Bench features. It does not change existing purchase prices, purchase ownership, or record-sharing permissions.
